The Kidde 60WLDR-WCA Water Leak + Freeze Detector provides indoor detection of water leaks, flooding and temperatures approaching freezing. It sounds an 85 dB local alarm and can send real-time mobile notifications through the Kidde app using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection.

Water leak and freeze detection: Detects water deeper than 0.38 mm and temperatures approaching freezing, providing early notice of developing conditions.
Real-time mobile notifications: The Kidde 60WLDR-WCA connects to the Kidde app to notify users when a hazard is detected or the detector needs replacement.
85 dB local alarm: Produces a loud audible warning measured at 1.2 metres when water is detected.
Kidde HomeSafe connectivity: Connects the detector and compatible Kidde smart devices to the Kidde app for remote status information and notifications.

Does the Kidde 60WLDR-WCA detect both water and freezing conditions?
Yes. It detects water leaks and flooding, as well as temperatures approaching freezing. It can also detect a rapid temperature change of approximately 3°C within 10 minutes.
How does the detector alert the user?
When water is detected, the red LED flashes every three seconds and the detector produces a loud beep every three seconds. It can also send real-time mobile notifications through the Kidde app when connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
Does it require a separate hub?
No. An additional hub is not required. Setup is completed by scanning the QR code on the back of the product.
Where should the water leak detector be installed?
Place it indoors on a level, clean and dry surface at the lowest point where water may be present. Suitable locations include areas near water heaters, sump pits, sinks, toilets, washing machines, refrigerators and dishwashers. Do not place it on a metallic surface or where rising water could trap it beneath an obstruction.
Will mobile alerts work if the home Wi-Fi connection is unavailable?
No. Smartphone and tablet notifications require a stable Wi-Fi connection and are only as reliable as the home Wi-Fi network. Mobile alerts are informational and do not replace third-party life-safety monitoring. The water leak detector is not a life-safety device.
